About Me

Hi there! I'm Matthew, but you probably know me better by my online alias hyp3rstrike. I'm an Affiliated Broadcaster on Twitch, Community Manager of @TwitchAdelaide, Games Critic, and former Deputy Editor of Sticky Trigger.

Among other talents, I'm also a web developer, graphic designer, podcast and video producer, and much more. Let's just say that learning new skills is something that I enjoy, and I dabble in a lot.

As far as streaming goes, I broadcast live on Twitch every week on Tuesday to Thursday at 8PM, and Fridays at 9PM.

So, what's this website then?

I've setup HYP3R.tv as a hub for all of my streaming related activities, but also as a home for news and updates for TwitchAdelaide -- you can only do so much in 140 characters, and I wanted a space for me to be able to update the community in detail.

You'll also find a bunch of other content like streaming guides, streamer highlights, and other tidbits.

How did you become a streamer?

It was actually a mate of mine who goes by the moniker of "Inf3rnoPanda" that wanted to start doing it initially. I jumped on the bandwagon to support him in it, so we could both learn and share our knowledge and experience, to further his channel.

Inf3rnoPanda, or Chris, works very hard with his day job which he became busier in and wasn't able to afford much time to stream. In his absence, I continued because I was really enjoying it. I'm now at the point where I'm streaming regularly on a schedule at least four days a week after work, and I'm really happy with that.

I'll be the first to admit that I was one of those naysayers who asked "why would you want to watch someone else play games?", but as I got into it, and jumped into the various communities on Twitch, my opinion changed and now it's one of the biggest parts of my life. How's that for irony?

That's it really. Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to get in touch with me!
